6th year EXAM: 16th November

Hi!
We have our next exam next Friday, on 16th. It is a review about PAST: WAS/WERE.

Remember you have to study:

-1st: NUMBERS (1-9,999); ORDINAL AND CARDINAL

-2nd: VOCABULARY: PARTS OF THE ANIMALS' BODY

-3rd: GRAMMAR STRUCTURES:

  • Past of the verb TO BE - WAS/WERE
  • THERE WAS/THERE WERE
  • Saxon genitive: lion's head , eagle's wings.
1. We are going to use all of these structures to create a description. For example:

This was a mythical creature.
It was an elephant with a horse's body, a pig's tail and bull's horns.
There were unicorn's wings and fish's scales on its body.

REMEMBER to use the SAXON GENITIVE when it is possible.

2. We are going to answer questions using short answers.

3. And finally, we are going to change sentences into affirmative, negative and interrogative, using THERE WAS/THERE WERE.

REMEMBER: DON'T STOP STUDYING, UNTIL YOU ARE PROUD.

5th year EXAM: 16th November

Hello!

Next Friday, we have our exam. It is a review. Remember to study:

-1st: NUMBERS

-2nd: VOCABULARY: Electronic gadgets

-3rd: GRAMMAR STRUCTURE: Present Simple + Frequency Adverbs

Now, we have added some colours to make learning the sentence formation easier.

With the vocabulary and the grammar structure, we are going to make sentences. For example:

Ben always uses the computer.
Lyn sometimes plays football.
Sam never watches TV.
Jo usually goes shopping.

And we are going to change sentences into negative and interrogative.

-4th: Personal description. Now we are going to describe another person, using the third person.

Write about Steve:

He is Steve. He is 10 years old. He is from Australia. He likes sport. His birthday is on 6th October. His favourite subject is P.E. and his favourtive food is pasta and salad.

REMEMBER: THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ORDINARY AND EXTRAORDINARY, IS THAT LITTLE EXTRA.
