Hello everyone!
On Friday 19th, we have our first exam. We are in unit 5 and it is about PAST: WAS/WERE.
For the exam, we have to know:
-1st: NUMBERS (1-9,999); ORDINAL AND CARDINAL
-2nd: VOCABULARY: PARTS OF THE ANIMALS' BODY
-3rd: GRAMMAR STRUCTURES:
- Past of the verb TO BE - WAS/WERE
- THERE WAS/THERE WERE
- Saxon genitive: lion's head , eagle's wings
We are going to use all of these structures to create a description. For example:
The Questing Beast was a monster with a snake's head, a tiger's body and a lion's tail. There were scales on its head and neck but its feet were like a rabbit's feet and its voice was like the sound of a thousand dogs.
REMEMBER to use the SAXON GENITIVE when it is possible.
